Veronica is told through the real life experiences of a 24 year old single female living in New York City. 97% of her encounters are all factual, which is the sad part! Ashley,the voice behind Veronica, is a 2008 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy of Law. Despite having this seemingly boring diploma, Ashley is a food, fashion and music fanatic. She also is somewhat obsessed with reality tv shows and anything that may be deemed as Fuckery. She currently works within the reinsurance industry as a Marketing Assistant, hoping to one day transition into entrepreneurship and make money pursuing one of her many passions. Jayde, better known as Nichole, is reaching her 25th year of that thing called life.  She is a former Gator still living in Gainesville.  Being single Nichole is open to all the dating possibilities; on-line, blind, and everything in between.After taking off two years she is back in school, attending Barry University for her B.S. in Administration – it’s a degree so she can pretend to have her life together.  Right now Nichole’s life consists of a full-time job as the Administrative Assistant, of a local private college, and a mother.  She has one year old Cocker Spaniel, D.O.G., who runs her crazy but she can’t live without.  She is happy with the experiences she’s been through but won’t continue to look back at them, refusing to let her past control her or her new relationships…note the “s”! Monae exists based on dating roller coasters experienced by Aundra; a 27-year old born and bred in the fast life city of Miami. She’s a proud alumnae of the school set atop the highest of seven rolling hills in Tallahassee, FL: Florida A&M University. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and was ultimately gearing her life towards becoming a School Psychologist. Life changes led her in a different direction and she currently works in Marine Human Resources for a well known travel & tourism company. Her love of writing positioned her to become a contributor to this blog. She knows that besides providing an entertaining open door into her ‘love life’, there will be some points in which many can relate. She’s still single (ALL this sexy and no one to share it with!) and K-I-D free but remains positive that love will soon find her. Until then, a journey is only as exciting as you make it! Loreena McKennitt says, “So you set out to travel Rome…and end up in Istanbul. You set off for Japan…and you end up on a train across Siberia. Corey, the male voice of SHD, is a synergy of stories from multiple dating experiences of men, but the majority are the author’s real experiences in dating. Based on the life of Doug, a 27 year old New Jersey Born, Houston raised single parent. A graduate of FAMU’s prestigious SBI program and former Territory Manager for a Fortune 100 company, Doug has started to achieve his dream of higher education at Rice University’s Jones School of Business MBA program. When not playing with his three year old son or studying, he’s writing, reading, listening to the endless amount of music on his iPod, Talking trash with friends, and remaining active in Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Phi Omega. Hes optimistic his single life will end eventually, but he is enjoying learning more every day about life, love and himself.
